Flap ( Chordlength, Deflection )

Modify Card

Arguments Chordlength the relative chord length of the flap
Deflection the deflection of the flap in degrees
Description Modifies the selected airfoil elements to simulate a plain flap.
Remarks A positive deflection angle corresponds to trailing edge down.
The flap is always rotated around hinge point midway between upper and lower surface.
For the analysis of multiple flap settings it is recommended to start from the unflapped airfoil and not to accumulate flap settings. Deflection of a flap will result in the loss of coordinate points on the concave side of the airfoil if they would move inside the flapped airfoil.
Performs the same action as the "Flap" button.
